Basket

Deuteronomy 28:5 "Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store."

What is it about babies and baskets?  In 'em, on top of 'em, underneath 'em, baskets are a baby's best friend.

Maeve has two basket loves: her toy basket and her laundry basket.  The toy basket is good for sitting in, standing and holding onto, and tipping over.  It's her "grass is greener" object lesson, since every toy is much more appealing while in the basket, and suddenly quite boring and commonplace when handed to her.

The laundry basket has nice chewy handles and is made of mesh, a magical substance she can see through and feel through, yet seems solid enough.  Also, it's collapsible, providing excellent destruction satisfaction over and over again.

Maeve's Momma apparently used to love the laundry basket, too.  So happy Friday, friends, and keep an eye on your little chicks in the basket!

  1. I LOVE the photo of you in the laundry basket! Like mother, like daughter. :)

  2. I have never thought of those mesh laundry baskets as something to play in. If the boys' laundry basket is ever empty, I'll see if they want to play with it; they may end up destroying it though!
