Help

"What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like. " -Saint Augustine

Today, I just want to say thanks for the help.  You know who you are.

If you have once taken Maeve from my arms so I could accomplish some simple task. If you have smiled and told me how beautiful or what a good baby she is.  If you brought me food, diapers, or your company.  If you listened to my long complaints about lack of sleep or breastfeeding woes.  If you gave me advice when I asked for it (and didn't when I didn't ask).

If you babysat her so I could sleep or get my car fixed.  If you gave me baby clothes or items you didn't need.  If you said I looked great.  If you asked, "How can I help?" even if I was too strung out to think of anything.  If you politely acted as if I were a competent human on days I couldn't even walk straight.  If you offered me a drink.

If you saw a need and filled it without being asked and without hope of recompense or even my noticing it.  If you read and commented so kindly here on my blog or on Facebook and made me feel like I wasn't so alone.  Your help is the hands and feet of Love.

Thank you.

Thanks, Mom!
