Pointer

"Where is Pointer, where is Pointer,
Here I am, here I am,
How are you today, sir?
Very well, I thank you.
Run away! Run away!"

My Maeve is a pointer.  Her finger outstretched leads me to the things she wants to see, touch, eat, or explore.  I tell her the name of what she points to.  Sometimes she points straight to me, and I reach my finger out to touch hers, like the painting on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.  She thinks this is hilarious.

Now every day is an adventure of wandering around the house, holding my hand, and pointing with her free one.  I hand her items, say names, let her touch and see.  She is learning so much right now, I think it's part of why she sleeps so well at night.  Her brain has a lot of catching up to do!

Lead the way, little pointer, I will follow.
