I haven't written about this yet because I'm not sure what to write, but everything is coming to a head today. My grandmother is having hip surgery, then beginning three weeks of radiation to deal with a fracture and cancer in her hip. This is the grandmother whose name is Maeve's middle name. She is very special to me for many reasons, you can read my blog entry about her.
This morning she goes in for surgery, and I will hold my breath until she gets out okay. Typically, today is fraught with other worries and stresses, which may be an attempt of the part of the Universe to keep my mind off things I can't do anything about. But Maeve is working on eye teeth, and needs most of my attention.
My stomach hurts, and I don't know if I'll eat all that much today. For now I am just trying to build me a dike of courage, but it's more like a picket fence right now. Your kind thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Thoughts and prayers for sure!
ReplyDeletethinking of you guys!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies, she came through surgery this morning without any problems. I am very relieved!
ReplyDeleteI would have added you to my prayers, but it's even better that I'm too late and everything's fine! I'll still be thinking of you guys. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the surgery was successful. Hoping your grandmother has a speedy recovery and is back to good health soon. And that Maeve's teeth come in soon!
