Totally Stuffed

"No more turkey, but I'd like some more of the bread it ate. "-Hank Ketcham

I cooked my very first Thanksgiving yesterday, with the able help of my husband.  I did everything but pumpkin pie, rolls, and salad.  I started on Tuesday night, and finished yesterday at 3:30 p.m. - longest cooking project ever.
Really just prefers pasta.

Everything came out so well, just delicious.  I didn't screw up a single dish, and I got everything to the table hot and ready to go.  I really think it was one of the biggest culinary accomplishments of my life.  And now I know I can do it!

Brown and everything!
I was so grateful that my in-laws were willing to be my guinea pigs, and that they loved everything and had no complaints.  It was great to cook for them and know that they were not going to nitpick my cooking or criticize at all.  And of course, they didn't.  They even kept Maeve busy so I could get things done in the kitchen, and my husband did all the dishes.  He rubbed my feet for me after it was all over, and we popped in a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
We had a lovely day together yesterday, and I hope you did, too!  And now we can begin the earnest business of beginning the Christmas season!
