Everyone who has been to our house in the last two weeks has participated in Maeve's latest activity: places. Here's how it works. Maeve grabs your hand and puts you in the place she thinks you should be, then leaves the room. Your job is now the yell "got you!" or "peekaboo!" when she returns, and she will dissolve in giggles and fall on the floor, or chase you around.
She's a very assertive director, with firm ideas and not a lot of flexibility. If you move from the spot she put you, she will grab your hand and gently but firmly put you in your place, while muttering places under her breath.
Reality is beginning to set in as to who is the boss in this house. At the moment, we are all actors in her tickle-chase drama. So, places everyone. Action!

ReplyDeleteShe's a funny little kid. She always makes me laugh when she does that with her furrowed brow. She's the boss and she's only half my height.
