Under Contract

I can now return to eating and sleeping normally, instead of walking around with a queasy stomach and lying awake for hours worrying about whether our offer was good enough.  It was.  We are under contract on a home!

This house has everything - vaulted ceilings, a brand new kitchen, a finished basement, roughly fifty trees on the lot (or so it seems), a balcony that runs the length of the house, a courtyard out front with benches, and more than that, the first thing I said about it was that it was enchanting.  I was enchanted with it before we even saw the inside.

Maeve will be able to run around on the covered balcony in most kinds of weather and stretch her legs, she will have plenty of stairs to practice on, and a room that we can really make her own.  This is the place she will remember growing up in, this will feel like home to her.

And the neighborhood has lots of kids, and backs up to a greenbelt, and has fantastic schools.  I mean, really, what else could you ask for?  I cannot believe our blessings right now.  So thank you, if you were praying/hoping/crossing your fingers for us.  Now we just have to get through the inspection, appraisal, and closing.  Oh, and pack up all our stuff and move with an almost-two-year-old.
