Yeah Yeah

"Mock.... Yeah! Ing... Yeah! Bird...Yeah!" (Dumb and Dumber)

Maeve is like the opposite of a two year old.  Her favorite word is Yeah  She has a bunch of different ways to say it, too.  If she's getting all insistent and vehement, she says it YEAH, loud and forceful.  If she's being sad and pathetic and tired, it comes out Yeeeeah, as in "Are you ready for a nap?" Yeeeeah *sigh*.  Sometimes it's accompanied by a big head nod, to affirm that this is a Yeah kind of situation, and we, her thick parents, are understanding her correctly for once.

This is not to say we don't hear "No", but most often it comes out Nononononono because parents are not so bright and need to hear things over and over.  And actually, her "All done" functions more as a no, as in when I pick her up to change her diaper and she is already crying and telling me she's all done with something that hasn't happened yet.

I am just enjoying this "Yeah" phase, it really is cute as a button.  And it helps us communicate, oh yeah.
You sitting down? Yeah.
