Ten things for which I am proud of my daughter:
1. She said hi and waved to her gymnastics instructor yesterday- a first. It's not the same person every week, so almost a stranger, really.
2. She played *with* another child at gymnastics yesterday, real interaction. They talked to each other.
3. She told me she was ready to go home by sitting on the bench and asking me for her shoes: no tantrum, no trying to run out the door.
4. She waved at, and even hugged her friend Kai's daddy when they came over yesterday, and even called him her version of his name. (Thanks, Wen)
5. She waved at total strangers on our walk to the park. This has never happened before.
6. With no provocation, she went back to drinking soy milk. She just asked for it.
7. She ate a whole pile of baked beans with a spoon and no adult intervention and didn't spill very many of them.
8. She counted "one, two three" baked beans on her spoon. Counting, in context!
9. She knows all the planets in the solar system when she watches the Baby Einstein about space.
10. The sole tantrum she threw yesterday was at bedtime. And with a day like that, who wants to go to bed?
