On Dependence and Interdependence

I need help, but
I want to do it myself.

If you do just a little, 

I can finish it, I promise.

But NO. MINE.  I DO IT.

I can't do it.

I don't want your help,

But I must have it.

So fix it for me 

Now. Fast.

So that I don't have to think about

how I couldn't do it myself.

But if I do it all by myself,

the shoe is on the wrong foot

and I walk funny,

but am proud of my self-reliance.
