Bounce

"Piglet was still a little anxious about Tigger, who was a very Bouncy Animal, with a way of saying How-do-you-do, which always left your ears full of sand." - A.A. Milne

It all began with figuring out the Johnny Jump-up.  Previously, Maeve had only used it to walk in small circles, but this last week, she clearly had a eureka! moment and began bouncing, grinning furiously all the while.

Next, I noticed that when I put her in her exersaucer, she kept trying to bounce up and down in it.  That thing makes a lot of noise when a 20lb baby jumps up and down in it!

Then last night after dinner, my aunt was bouncing Maeve up and down while she sat with her on the floor, and thus a bouncing fiend was created.  Now when you hold her on your lap, Maeve gets this goofy grin and starts buckling her knees and pushing up.  It's bouncy time.

  1. Cute! Our baby does something similar, he says "Pop pop" whenever he climbs into a lap, which means "bounce me up and down, singing the popcorn song, please" :)
