"One must change one's tactics every ten years if one wishes to maintain one's superiority. " -
Napoleon Bonaparte
Maeve is ten months old today. And she's beating Napoleon's pants off, since she changes her tactics every ten days. Right now she's:
- Growing, I'm guessing, by how well she's sleeping at night. Did I mention she's sleeping well at night?
- Suffering from separation anxiety. Dad won't do the trick sometimes, it has to be Momma.
- Shortening her afternoon nap. Boo!
- Babbling all the time.
- Roaring during dinner - have not figured out why yet.
- Playing with her books more than any other toy.
- Watching Word World - kind of. She likes the theme song and the Build a Word song. I think she'd like the show better if it had more music.
- Walking much better - I even put her down and let her walk at the museum yesterday!
- Hating the car unless someone's in the back seat to play with her. So I don't drive for more than 20 minutes without a companion, because I hate to listen to the crying. At least, if I can help it.
- Holding the phone up to her ear, very endearingly.
- Trying new foods: pasta, mandarin orange slices (raw), and cooked asparagus!
- in a word: Busy.
Here are a few of her latest hijinks:
