The blossom time of souls." ~Katherine Lee Bates
Despite failing to 'rend' the chains of this stupid cold, our family had a great first Easter together. We all awoke cranky and stuffy, but after some naps and the excitement of playing Easter Bunny, moods improved immensely. Miss Maeve had a lovely Easter dress as a present from her godmother, and the addition of the bow made her really look like a little princess.
As I had hoped, the plastic Easter eggs full of Annie's Graham Bunnies were a huge hit, as were the eggs themselves. Poor kid, with her allergies, plastic is as close as she can get to an egg!

She got a fun Sing a Ma Jig from Grandma and Grandpa - I was slightly weirded out that it has teeth, but otherwise it's a great toy. And Maeve was obviously very taken with it.
That last picture just gets to me. Isn't she just the most breathtakingly beautiful little girl? I am so in love with her, all the time. But there really is something special about putting my daughter in a pretty, swirly dress that just makes this Momma's heart skip a beat. Maybe it was my soul, unexpectedly bursting into blossom.
We have 4 sing-a-ma-jigs! I love them!! They harmonize with each other if you have more than one. Susannah likes to stick her fingers in their mouth. :)
ReplyDeleteMaeve saw me stick my finger in the bunny's mouth to see if it would be a safe toy, and now she won't stop doing it. Luckily it doesn't pinch all that hard.
ReplyDeleteI miss the little girls' dresses - my little girl is into ruffly tops with leggings and anything that sparkles - so unlike her mom, who would have her still wearing cotton frocks!
ReplyDeleteI love her pretty Easter dress. I remember how excited I was every year to put on a frilly new (to me) dress. Your baby is indeed beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShe's really such a lovely little lady! Glad to hear that you guys were able to enjoy Easter, even with your colds. :D
