I would like to remind you that my daughter is not yet two. And yet, what a little marvel she is! I know, you guys all hear about her exploits on this blog every day, but I just have to brag a little bit more. I'm a mom. It's what I do.
She has another three-syllable word under her belt - she pointed at a picture from a Sesame Street book and told me: Zoe. Astronaut. Space. Moon. Boots. Sure enough, Zoe was in an astronaut suit and boots on the moon. As soon as this kid gets some more verbs, some articles, and some prepositions, she's going to make some great sentences.
Also, she tried a new food last night - cornbread muffins- and liked them. I know, what's not to like? But toddlers can be picky, and I'm always proud of her when she tries something new and likes it.
She's making progress with drinking out of regular cups, too. She gets orange juice with her breakfast in a juice glass, and when it gets closer to empty, I let her hold it herself. With the exception of one tantrum, she has never spilled any juice, and she does really well!
So that's what's new in our house, besides the Husband trying to fight off a nasty virus and me starting to come down with it, we think. So we'll play and learn with Maeve again today, and be off on another adventure.
| And we will get out all the toys. |
