I have learned my lesson, I will never stay out late again. Maybe ever. At least until the child starts reliably sleeping past six a.m. It was just one night, and I was only out till ten thirty! But I paid for it in the small change of minutes and hours yesterday. And I learned my lesson.
Things that are hard to do when you can barely keep yours eyes open: Care whether or not your child gets her clothes wet in the wading pool. Make lunch, with multiple variations on the protein for picky child. Understand half-English, half-Maeveish protests/inquiries/commentary. Keep child from running in the Butterfly Pavilion.
Predictably, she refused to nap until two, which is not only two hours later than usual, but I was down to almost zero brain activity by then. Thank goodness she did, because then I got an hour and a half nap, which is generally unheard-of for me, as I am not a good day napper. After a nap and another cup of coffee, I was functioning on all cylinders again. At which point I was clear headed enough to decide that my bedtime shall not exceed nine thirty again for the foreseeable future.
Also I had trouble keeping up with her accessories yesterday. That's a Slinky. |
If it weren't for coffee, my children would leave the house half dressed, uncombed, or unfed every day.
ReplyDelete10:30 is late partying huh? Lol. We're so cool! Every Tuesday lately I've gotten to bed at like 1am and recently 4am...talk about non-functioning! And I dont drink coffee! :(
