The First Face

More things that probably seem utterly inconsequential to anyone who is not the parent of a toddler, but Maeve drew her very first recognizable face this week!  She normally is more of what's you'd call an abstract artist, more interested in filling the page with color than representing anything, but this is definitely a face:

Now, when creating this face, she had a template in front of her, it wasn't a fully creative endeavor, but this is the first face she's ever drawn, copied or otherwise.  I don't think she meant it to look a little sad, in fact, when she finished she said "I want a smiley face!" but I managed to convince her the cloud was smiling.
