Best Laid Plans

I don't really have that much to write about; ballet did not go well.  We will possibly try again next week, but I am ready to admit she is not really ready to sit in a class and listen to a teacher.

I did post on Get Born today, so be sure and check that out.  http://getbornmag.com/2012/07/first-day-on-the-job/

But today is another day, which I am rolling into with low expectations and hope that things will get better, in general.  As Robbie Burns put it,

The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

  1. I always wondered what the second line of that saying was. Now I know why no one ever says it..."gang aft agley"? Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that Maeve and ballet have not become fast friends. I appreciate your willingness to share both the good and the not-so-good, but it does make me sad to read the not-so-good.

    1. Marissa - I almost named the post Gang Aft Agley and then realized no one but my fellow English nerds would know what I was talking about.

      And we're okay. :)
